Insurance Products

Prepare is licensed to sell insurance in select states. Prepare is not an insurance company.  We provide products and services from select insurance carriers. If eligible, you are able to apply for insurance products on this site knowing that in doing so, you agree to allow us and the insurance carrier to which you are applying to communicate with you, with a licensed officer of Prepare designated as your agent of record.

Note the following:

  • Product availability, features, benefits and rates may vary by state of residence.
  • Prepare is paid commissions for the policies sold on this site.
  • Products are available for U.S. citizens or individuals residing in the U.S. with permanent resident status.
  • The quote you receive may not be the final price. The price may change based on review of your application and other underwriting variables.

Data

Personal information, such as age, gender, and nicotine use, that you submit on this site is currently not stored by Prepare. This information is used for the service of obtaining a personalized quote and applying for insurance coverage. We pass that information along at the end of the application process to get you a decision on whether you qualify to obtain insurance coverage. We may, from time to time, reach out to inform you on other pertinent offers or notify you when your policy is at risk of lapsing. Upon receipt of shared information, the Insurance Company may seek to initiate contact with you.

As a user, you are able to decline or prevent the disclosure of your information by Prepare to third parties by choosing not to use our site. By using our site, you agree that all of the information that you provide is true and accurate and that you will update this information when required.

While we strive to protect all information on this site, you understand that we are not responsible should an unauthorized third-party obtain your information without our consent. Should our website be hacked, we will notify you immediately of how it was affected and next steps. You agree that we are not responsible for any actions and will not hold us accountable if your information is taken in this way without our consent, permission, or knowledge.

Warranties and Liabilities

Prepare cannot provide you any warranty as our services are provided “as-is”. As a user of our services, you are aware that there are no express or implied warranties and you are using our site at your own risk. Our services may include information to help you think about what insurance policy, benefit amount, and other items that are best for you, but we are not a replacement for specialists such as legal, accounting, or  tax advisors. However, we will  help explain anything about the products and anything on our site.

Prepare is not liable to you or other third parties for damages, whether indirect, consequential, exemplary, or special. This includes damages from loss of use, profits, revenue, and data. You, as the user of this Site, acknowledge that the limitations of liability above are reasonable and that you have agreed to them. Some states and jurisdictions do not allow the limitations of liability stated here.

Conditions, Limitations and Exclusions
The following limitations and exclusions apply to the policy as approved in most states. Limitations and exclusions may vary by state. For a list of all limitations and exclusions, refer to the actual policy.

Pre-existing Condition – Assurity will not pay benefits for a critical illness that is caused by a pre-existing condition unless the date of diagnosis is after this policy has been in force for 12 months from the issue date or last reinstatement date.

Reduced Benefit After Age 70 – On the policy anniversary immediately following the later of the insured’s 70th birthday, or three years from the policy’s issue date, the policy benefit amount will be automatically reduced by 50 percent. This will be the benefit amount available for the remaining years the policy is in force.

Exclusions – Assurity will not pay benefits for conditions that are caused by or are the result of the insured person: being exposed to war or any act of war, declared or undeclared; actively serving in any of the armed forces or units auxiliary thereto, including the National Guard or Army Reserve, except during active duty training of less than 60 days; engaging in hang-gliding, hot air ballooning, bungee jumping, parachuting, scuba diving, sail gliding, motor vehicle racing, parasailing, parakiting, mountain or rock climbing, B.A.S.E. jumping, sky diving or cave diving; being addicted to drugs or suffering from alcoholism; being intoxicated (as determined by the laws governing the operation of motor vehicles in the jurisdiction where loss occurs) or under the influence of an illegal substance or a narcotic (except for narcotics used as prescribed to the insured person by a physician); committing or attempting to commit a felony; being incarcerated in a penal institution or government detention facility; engaging in an illegal occupation; intentionally self-inflicting an injury; or committing or attempting to commit suicide, while sane or insane.
